Multaq

Multaq is a prescription drug, also known as Dronedarone.  Multaq is prescribed to patients who have life threatening heart rhythm disorders.  Multaq affects the rhythm of a heartbeat by helping it beat normally.

There are many things that cause a heart to beat abnormally.  Some of the disorders many people have that eventually develop irregular and dangerous heartbeats include diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, and elderly people over the age of 70 years old.  Multaq is used to treat these heart rhythm disorders, also known as atrial fibrillation or flutter.  Without Multaq, a patient would be required to be hospitalized.

If you have heartbeat problems and have been prescribed Multaq to help normalize your heartbeat, you will need to take your prescription on a regular basis.  You should never run out of your prescription of Dronedarone at all.  As soon as you take the last pill from one prescription of Multaq, you will need a new one to continue on.  Dronedarone normalizes your heartbeat and you should have medication on you at all times.  You might consider buying cheap Multaq and your other Canadian prescriptions in through an online Canadian pharmacy.  You will be able to buy much more discount Canada drugs at one time, rather than only small increments given by local pharmacies.

If you have an allergy to Dronedarone, you should not take Multaq.  Dronedarone shouldn’t be taken for patients who have severe liver disease, specific heart conditions, heart failure, slow heartbeat, and if you are pregnant or breast feeding.  There are many drugs you should not take while on Multaq also.  If you are taking medications for health issues including depression, psychiatric disorders, migraines, narcotics, nausea, antibiotics or antifungal, to treat HIV, malaria, and organ transplant prevention you should talk to your physician about problems associated and see if there is an alternative medication.

A doctor will prescribe Dronedarone in a pill format.  Follow the directions for your Multaq prescription and take with a glass of water.  It is recommended you take in the morning and evening with your meals on a regular basis.  When you begin a prescription of Multaq, it is important to have your blood and heart rhythm monitored and tested on a regular basis to ensure it is working to your benefit and not against you.  Never miss a scheduled appointment with a doctor and pay attention to any type of side effects you might be experiencing.

One very important thing to remember when taking Dronedarone is that you should not drink grapefruit juice.  It has been proven that eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice can interact and become potentially dangerous.

Some of the side effects experienced by patients taking Multaq include faster or slower heartbeat rate, shortness of breath, ankle swelling, wheezing and coughing, muscle weakness, nausea, weakness, rash, and more.  If any of your side effects seem extreme or affect your ability to breathe or function normally, contact your physician or go to the nearest emergency room.
